Yes, I was challenging wotsup on the basis that cherry picking verses in scripture can result in many different beliefs that contradict each other. I gave him examples of those that contradicted his own beliefs based on scripture.
I said in a disclaimer that the beliefs that I posted that contradicted those of wotsup were not necessary mine (the author). I also stated more than once that there were arguments that opposed what I posted - you provided some in your post. I have no intentions of trying to rank the merits of opposing arguments because I think such an attempt would be futile given that I believe that scripture is both contrary and ambiguous.
By all means support wotsup in his his endeavours to spread his version of the Good News, but I really don't want to enter a round of discussions with you on religious doctrine - my intention was simply to persuade wotsup that others can arrive at different conclusions to those that he reached through genuine study of the bible and a genuine belief that they were lead by the Holy Spirit. Strangely they also argue about the nature of the Holy Spirit.
As it turns out the whole exercise is a complete waste of time and energy. I suspect that even theists feel this way about debating with wotsup.
