I agree with AndyB, the peer reviewed economist magazine has been calling a housing crash since 2002, if you did listen to that and not even buy a residence between then and now, you'd been in seriously deep ka-ka.
Despite the logic, their call on housing has to be the most spectacular bad call in financial history. (Except for recommending HIH as a technical buy like a certain magazine did.)
