    Uhh yeah, media is by definition reactive. Ever heard the phrase "real journalists don't make the news, they report it?"
    It's the job of investors (you), regulators and research analysts to investigate companies - not financial journalists.
    The scorn heaped on the media (AFR in particular) by sore losers on Hotcopper is a sight to behold (I'm thinking of the BIG cheer squad in particular).
