Well thank you for that @Shmicko

It is extremely concerning to read a post that encourages self harm. Whilst I don’t care much about the ravings of an unbalanced poster - it does cause one to wonder about how that person conducts themselves in other aspects of their life. To write a sentence such as that says much more about the author than the actual subject of the words.

I think posters on this forum ought to encourage contrarian views and not subject those outside of the ‘club’ to vilification.

I also post on CLA and posters over there have been calling for alternative viewpoints. A thread done with a touch of class - I think.

While many of you reacted badly to my set of questions - you ought to chase them yourselves. They are important questions and might well expose, at base, a company culture not aimed at improving shareholder wealth. If it doesn’t - then great - you can move on feeling assured.

Also, resist the urge to deify or be supplicant towards “Neil”. From a legal perspective I find this arrangement to be very disconcerting. The company secretary is the person most commonly charged with disseminating company information. And that information is given under the company letterhead. The reason for this is that they can then be held to account. Where is the accountability for information released under this ‘green tick’ model?

Would BHP or any other top tier company employ a HC liaison person? No, they release via company announcements. Many companies employ Shareholder Relations people. Again, they would also answer shareholders questions using a company letterhead or respond via email that is connected to the company domain.

I’ll leave it here with one last comment. If you are cavalier with your investing and fail to question things that’s fine but don’t bleat when your hard earned disappears.

I have seen far too many cases where tens of thousands of dollars have been lost - mostly by honest hard working people who chose to suspend their better judgment seemed incapable of asking, why!

I trust many here are keeping up with the Banking Royal Commission?
