Vivonne, I agree with you that todays market has extreme selling pressure from margin calls. I was speaking to one of the head guys at one of the larger margin lenders on Friday and asked him what amount of people were being margin called, his reply was that they hadnt caught up with Thursdays business yet. He then said that todays (being Fridays) would probably not be done till Monday and it wasn't going to be pretty which could give some explanation for the heavy selling today.
What then happens tomorrow?
