The point of Smyths comments were to underline the fact the resource, to some extent, will be immune to any commodities melt-down due to the expectation the project will fall into the lower percentile in terms of operational costs...

Whilst insitu value means little for valuing purposes, when taken into account with likely operational costs, one can at least make ball-park assumptions to the extent he can generalise about value ranges for the asset.

Point of course being, in case you missed it, that we have a mine here.

Measured resource is some 7mt @ greater than 2%...with an inferred resource of some 51mt @ a similar grade for our 1m tonnes target Cu model.

But...Smyth cannot tell us this officially because in spite of the fact it has been drilled twice hostorically, it has not been done to JORC guidlines.

This does not mean it does not exist, nor that it will likely be reduced...OR VANISH...no, what it means is that the procedures and record keeping at that time were not to a quantifiable level acceptable by JORC.

Unknown to many however, this generally does not relate to drilling practices or recovery methods, but more with such things as Quality Control (random test samples with kown Cu grades) to monitor inconsistencies with lab results...and/or security of sample preperation and hanlding and /or certification of the testing processes involved.

The gold and Cu at Cachoeiras de Binga (CDB) will not disappear...so we know what the results will be within the realms of standard deviation...some will wait for JORC supported data however, whilst others will not.

    Each to their own.

Chapindo Gold is significant and will attract the Majors for a JV at the drop of a hat...especially in the current gold centric climate...but I suspect CVI will want to work this up somewhat prior in order to value add prior to any future arrangements.

Longonjo is equally impressive, with Catabola and the Carbonatites drilling near term likely to attract a few followers...I have said from te outset, I believe Catabola will be something special...and still hold that view.

Nice to see Smyth's comments regarding future Fortitude ownership (60%) more or less confirming my own assuptions here.

I wonder if the rest are about right?

    Cheers!
