This is where I think you have missed the point. PLS is not going to change the world, no-one here claims it will. However the world is changing towards EVs, just not obvious to Australians that concentrate on our media.
With the world changing, PLS is a company that is in the right place at the right time, so shareholders should benefit as many doubters of the EV revolution start to wake up.

It seems to me that a lot of people are like the Chairman of IBM that could only see the need for 5 computers in the world back in the 1940's. Most don't seem to appreciate that the following confluence of factors all work in EVs favor.

1. Depletion of crude oil, especially conventional oil (production peaked in 2005), with unconventional oil like 'tight oil', deep sea oil and tar sands being VERY expensive.

2. Climate mandates by governments, whether you or I believe in climate change is irrelevant as governments (most) have accepted the science and are starting to look for non FF options/incentives.

3. Most people do not need to drive from Melbourne to Sydney every week, they use a car for trips within 50km of home 90% of the time.

4. The major automotive companies are ALL planning to bring mass produced EVs to market. They are spending Billions on research, development, battery factories etc.

5. When mass produced EVs are around the same price as the equivalent ICE vehicle, businesses and govt departments will flock to them, cover their roof with solar panels to charge them, with households quickly following.

6. Most commuters will charge the EVs with off-peak power, making running costs much lower than the equivalent ICE vehicle. This also being good for the electric industry companies that currently have a huge variation of use between peak times and night time.
