For those interested:
The U.S. futures are trading slightly down to neutral. If the futures remain around this level the market could open tonight around where it closed on Friday. However, anything could happen between now and open with 8 hours still to go. No trading last night due to Public Holiday in honour of Martin Luther King.
Oil is at 90.67 a barrel.
Gold is at 881.60
The Aussie dollar against the U.S. dollar is trading at 85.94 down two cents.
There are a stack of earnings reports coming through tonight. Among them the market movers Apple which is expected to exceed the analysts estimates and Bank of America which is expected to announce write downs due to the subprime, already factored in.
No economic news of any significance before Thursday when initial claims, existing home sales and crude inventories come in.
