One thing i have learnt, its not so much about the money i have lost, but rather my attitude to be a survivor.

Survivor i shall be.

Baby and boy die in Melbourne car crash

A three-month-old baby and three-year-old boy were killed when a truck crashed into the car they were travelling in on a Melbourne freeway.

The baby died at the scene, while the boy went into cardiac arrest as he was being taken to the Royal Children's Hospital, police said.

An ambulance spokeswoman said a paramedic tried to revive the three-year-old with CPR but he was dead on arrival.

The accident occurred on the Western Ring Road near the Sunshine Avenue on-ramp in Melbourne's west at about 12pm (AEDT) on Tuesday.




Witnesses told police the sedan had stopped for some reason on the ramp heading toward the city.

While other cars managed to avoid it, the truck was unable to and ploughed into the car at 100km/h, Network Ten reported.

A woman travelling in the back of the car, believed to be the children's grandmother, suffered multiple traumatic injuries to her head, chest and abdomen as well as fractures to her legs.

The female driver, 29, was taken to the Royal Melbourne Hospital with minor injuries.

The ambulance spokeswoman said the passengers in the back seat were trapped for some time before they were cut free.

The 29-year-old truck driver escaped unhurt.
