Its not that surprising, I mean the ex AMP CEO was an advisor to the Turnbull government, Ms O'Dwyer who convened this council to get their advice on "regulatory reform" was also against this royal commission. ASIC is connected to the top finance bodies, everyone is, who would investigate ASIC and hold them to account, only body is the National Audit Office who the Greens said should investigate ASIC regarding conflicts of interest. NAO is also a joke though, so don't expect much.
