Not sure what your saying makes any sense whatsoever. Over the last 5 years returns for superannuation have been fantastic. There has now been a sharp downturn which may or may not be permanent (over the last 5 years the market has bounced back quickly from all corrections). However, at this point in time even including the last 2 weeks returns over the last 5 years have been fantastic.

So what is this "terrible state of affairs?"

BUT - there is something so much worse going on.

It's what is happening with the funds that the little people of the world, who actually are most of the world's people, have put their savings, their trust and their future in.

All these funds used investments as their primary pillars!

All these funds are being badly affected by the current worldwide fall!

All these funds cover every market, every currency, every commodity!

    All are down!

What then is the likelihood of a sound future for the hundreds of millions of people who have never ever taken any interest in stocks, options, warrants, leverage, investment loans, margin loans ..... ?

Absolutely terrible state of affairs for mine.

Some HC members are now protesting loud and long about the injustice of what's happening to them.

At least they had the choice.

    They made their choice!

    The little people never did.

    Sad, very sad for mine.
