The share price of AVZ has more than 10 bagged in a year, and yes it is an explorer in a volatile country, so there will be issues all the time (look at Glencore with Katanga mining).
Even though I only know a little about what is happening with the Glencore issue, it raises the concept of 'sovereign risk' for all those dealing in the same country.

When you add those 2 totally different aspects, and consider that there are people still sitting on 10 baggers, selling one bag to recover your original entry price and be free carried for 90% of your holding makes perfect sense from an investment point of view. Those sophs that bought in tranche 1 and 2, bought shares at 2c with a free attaching option, I would think if they had NOT sold some to cover initial investment and perhaps some profit as well (to at least pay tax) would be quite silly.

As the price has fallen since January, doubts would creep into the psyche of most sitting on large gains, so the prudent action is to protect initial investment. It is very easy to do when sitting on such large gains.

Even though we hear about people not selling a single share, I would actually expect many large holders, that are sitting on huge gains from the initial placements of shares and options to have sold or converted and sold plenty of the options. You don't get to be sophs by being gung-ho with your money.

To me the only change recently is how the company is going about their business. Instead of driven on hope and hype, they have started to meet deadlines, and are going about drilling, followed by JORC and feasibility studies in a professional manner.
The commodity lithium is being proven to be volatile with huge moves across the board both up and down depending on the latest report from some analyst expert , AVZ are in a volatile country, so of course it is going to be very volatile in the share price movements, both ways (hence why it has 10 bagged in a year!!)

The lithium boom is not over, and AVZ are obviously sitting on mountains of the stuff.
I plan to buy some more when the panic dies down, and yes will sell some when the price goes high again, as it will continue to be volatile.
