"Check the MSCI and tell me what U think?"

I think the MSCI, or EVERY OTHER TA INDICATOR is not applicable in a market being shaped by unpredictable economic news affecting sentiment.

Tech analysis is a way of mathematically predicting human sentiment changes on the basis of past market activity IN THE ABSENCE OF SIGNIFICANT OUTSIDE INFLUENCE. It has no validity in a market where sentiment is being unpredictably significantly changed by outside influences - have you ever actually studied the theory behind TA - not in the trashy books written by a few investors (who resorted to writing books as they were hopeless at investing) but those written for post-grad university level - often by the people who first created these indicators. Then you might understand in what situations TA is not applicable - and markets like this are high on the list.

Many great sources of investment advice are now saying there are many bargains to be had, and feel this is near or at the bottom.

They could be wrong - it seems that many great minds cannot decide which way the market will go from here - so I'm not going to claim I'm correct - just that what I am buying will be much higher in two years and I'll be getting dividends in the mean-time - so I won't lose - even if I could have done 10% better.

When do you jump back in - if it falls another 5% - or do you wait for confirmation the market has turned - say wait until it has risen 10% from the lows - but then you run the risk that you have lost 10% of potential gains, or that it will fall back again.

One thing is for sure - that everyone that is buying at these prices is doing so voluntarily - but many of those selling have been forced by margin calls or stop-losses on CFDs - hence many more people think the market is oversold than otherwise.
