Where the backscatter imager is designed to be incorporated into a remote controled device and driven up to an IED, this new imager sounds like it will be part of imaging equipment at the sreening points of airports.

Who knows in a few years time you might be getting screened by micro-x imaging devices at the airport. By the way there are 17,678 commercial airports world wide all of which have security sreening, so quite a big market to go into

The only query I have is whether this product being developed in the UK is the same or different to what they're doing at Lawrence Livermore and the DHS with the backscatter and phased array?
