There is nothing wrong with company debt, as long as its managable. Companies rarely plan to pay off all their debt, its all part of a runnuing cashflow.

The only problems debt have shown recently are because of companies unable to refinance due to banks tightening their lending criteria. This is a problem for companies that didn't have enough foresite to reduce their debt to a refinancable level.

MFS has 3 years to re-align themselves better for todays market, and chances are todays market won't be as tight then too.
