I believe usually when you sell shares it is automatically the most recent share parcel you bought that is sold first - for tax purposes. So, in a way, it resets your CGT clock.
BUT, there are options to specify with your broker, or with the ATO, which parcel you are selling - don't know how. Contact your brokerage.
