If there is loads of surface gold then there is no expensive mining as such because you get a loader and put the dirt into a concentrator of some sort using either water or gravity and sell the concentrates. I know somebody who does this (single man operation) and is making very good money off his lease.
This country is fairly inhospitable and may or may not have been picked over by prospectors when they were crawling all over during the Palmer gold rush days. There are millions of square miles of rough inhospitable country up here and it will be years before it is totally explored. Much of this country has no permanent water, and gets very hot in summer. When the big gold rush was on the prospectors were on foot or horse and this country was probably too tough to explore properly.
ITT has a number of very promising leases rich in all sorts of minerals and has a very low capitalisation which should be reflected in a good share price rise multiple when significant minerals are found.
