It is a sad reality that many aboriginals cannot live the way others do. Education is the only way to improve the situation, but if they don't want to be educated, what do you do?
For decades governments have given them housing, vehicles, money for kids to attend school, pensions etc etc.
As a former police commissioner said, we have to admit there is a problem before you can start to solve it.
And no, I am not racist, I have had aborigines as neighbors and worked with them and they remain good friends.
I remember the day my friend applied for a job where I worked, he would have been 18, he retired last year, from the same job, at the age of 65
