I don’t think Abbott will stand as an independent.

There will be much work to be done after the next election.

Turnbull having lost 14 seats last time is heading for a similar result this time.

The Libs will need the likes of Abbott to pickup the pieces and try and kickout the Shorten government at the following election.

Turnbull will go down in history as the man that lost to Shorten.
