hi wotsup
Time to call a stop to our debate:
Your understanding of KJV Bible deviates from 100 of Bible scholars & translators;
yet you insist yours is "the correct one".
(what can i say?)
There is a big difference between 'explain' and 'explain away'.
Our understandings of Scriptures are poles apart:
Yours as a philosopher
vs
mine as a believer in Christ.
I pray you will find
Eternal Life in Christ Jesus
(re new birth, Born Again, like Nicodemus eventually - John3 & 21);
not just head knowledge (facts, etc)
which leads only to human philosophy, but not
Relationship with the Living God:
How To Receive Christ
Who I Am in Christ

John 21 (AMP)
"..24 This is the
same [g]disciple ( re John) who is testifying to these things and has recorded them;
and we know [without any doubt] that his testimony is true.
25 And there are also many other things which Jesus did,
which if they were recorded
[h]one by one,
I suppose that even the world itself could not contain the books that would be written."

Do you realise your KJV interpretation is a close cousin of NWT:
John 1: 1-5 ( Mind?)
Revelation 19
As for your oft-quoting v13, to back up your interpretation of john 1
you somehow omitted V16 ( the title of Sovereign LORD, re Jesus Christ)

13 And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called
The Word of God.
14 And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15 And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16 And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written,
King Of Kings, And Lord Of Lords.

MrGordon, Any comment?
6. Jehovah’s Witness Bible
– New World Translation
- Translators had insufficient knowledge of biblical manuscripts
- Translation distorts the Deity of Christ at John 1:1; 8:58; Hebrews 1:8 and other passages to support Watchtower doctrine
- Inserts God Name “Jehovah” into the New Testament without manuscript support

John 1 Amplified Bible (AMP)
The Deity of Jesus Christ
1 In the beginning [before all time] was the Word (
[a]Christ), and the Word was with God,
and [b]the Word was God Himself.
2 He was [continually existing] in the beginning [co-eternally] with God.
3 All things were made
and came into existence through Him; and without Him not even one thing was made that has come into being.
4 In Him was life [and the power to bestow life], and the life was the Light of men.
5 The Light shines on in the
[c]darkness, and the darkness did not understand it
or overpower it
or appropriate it
or absorb it [and is unreceptive to it].

John 8:56-59
Amplified Bible (AMP)
56 Your father Abraham [greatly] rejoiced to see My day (My incarnation).
[a]He saw it and was delighted.”
57 Then the Jews said to Him, “You are not even fifty years old, and You [claim to] have seen Abraham?”
58 Jesus replied,
“I assure you and most solemnly say to you, before Abraham was born,[b]I Am.”
59 So they picked up stones to throw at Him, but Jesus concealed Himself and left the temple.

Hebrews 1:5-102
5 For to which of the angels did the Father ever say,
“You are My Son,
Today I have begotten (fathered) You [established You as a Son, with kingly dignity]”?
And again [did He ever say to the angels],
“I shall be a Father to Him
And He shall be a Son to Me”?
6 [a]And when He again brings the firstborn [highest-ranking Son] into the world, He says,
“And all the angels of God are to worship Him.”
7 And concerning the angels He says,
“Who makes His angels winds,
And His ministering servants flames of fire [to do His bidding].”
8 But about the Son [the Father says to Him],
“Your throne, [b]O God, is forever and ever,
And the [c]scepter of [absolute] righteousness is the scepter of [d]His kingdom.
9
“You have loved righteousness [integrity, virtue, uprightness in purpose] and have hated lawlessness [injustice, sin].
Therefore God, Your God, Has anointed You
With the oil of gladness above Your companions.”
10 And,
“
[e]You, Lord, laid the foundation of the earth in the beginning,
And the heavens are the works of Your hands;
11
They will perish, but You remain [forever and ever];
And they will all wear out like a garment,
12
And like a robe You will roll them up;
Like a garment they will be changed.
But
[f]You are the same [forever],
And Your years will never end.”
