Great find, Trae. And I was going to ask bread the same questions, because:

I have done lots and lots of research over the past days with regards to Fukangren, and I have, just like you, used the Chinese name of the company, as well as "Fogangren" or "Ji Kangren" and other variations used in some documents (the Amarantine Pharma presentation uses "Fogangren"), or that auto-translated texts came up with. (Some seem to be misspellings or different spellings, maybe due to dialect issues?)

I have found lots of articles and other sources about the company, and I know zero Chinese. Well, I can say "a dog" and "a cat". That's about it.

There is plenty of information on the company, and given that Chinese companies are often rather averse to the Internet, the amount of available information is very encouraging. I was going to write a new post introducing the firm, but now I have collected so much information that it feels overwhelming. I could probably write dozens of pages about them now. Take alone the hundreds of patents that you can find on google patents.

My own research has painted a picture of an incredibly quickly growing company, with a wealth of know-how behind them.  I do not share bread's concerns at all, and I think that the search his concerns were based on was very brief. Just looking for "Fukangren" on google won't produce all the Chinese articles that one can find. Fukangren may have started with a small capital (100,000 yuan and 8 people, as far as I know), but their registered capital must have a 9 figure yuan value now. In 2014, for example, they were seeking capital of US $10 million from investors.

And as pointed out by my screenshots of the presentation from the Amarantine post, the US subsidiary might be preparing an IPO.

One of the latest news articles I found was from late April: It is about some pilot project in an industrial park in Shexian County (if that translation is any good). Of interest here for me was particularly the figure of 500 million yuan. I am not sure if this is Fukangren's investment into the park, the park's investment into Fukangren, or just an investment into the park with Fukangren's involvement. But Fukangren certainly isn't tiny, and I would assume that by now they have a way larger registered capital than Cellmid. I think the article describes how Fukangren joined an industrial park with a new facility they built ("injection")?

The total investment in the pilot platform project for transforming the consistency appraisal of Qi Kangren chemical injections in Shexian County was 500 million yuan. 20 high value-added chemical injections were developed in accordance with the conformity assessment standard and industrialized in the park.  After the project is completed and put into operation, it is expected to achieve an annual output value of more than 500 million yuan, a tax revenue of more than 30 million yuan, and an employment of no less than 50 people.

I wanted to ask a Chinese friend to give me a proper translation but did not get to do it. Regardless, the above news article can be found across all sorts of sites on the Chinese speaking internet.
