Morning LawrenceH , I totally agree with you , my figures are based on the current facts of battery producers in Europe right at the moment , the producers came from a presentation of Plymouth Minerals , their preso did not include Bosch or HD3A which I included , so there could be more . I do not believe these will be the only ones that will produce batteries in the future . Skoda comes to mind that is not on the list . VW maybe ? Considering VW want to be building 3,000,000 electric vehicles in Europe in the future which is 120,000 tonnes of lithium alone , I also see a greater demand for Lithium in the future as well . It shows that at the moment there will not be enough capacity to make batteries in Europe to fulfill the demand that will take place there . Hence VW stating Europe will need 40 giga factories . More importantly , my post was trying to show that there are only three mines in Europe to serve the capacity of European's needs . This is an extremely important point . Europe will not want to be held ransom for the supply of Lithium in China ( they have already stated there will be no export of Lithium only batteries ) , ie what would happen if China decided to put an export tarrif on EV batteries . They could easily turn the car manufacturing industry on it's head and make European cars more expensive than Chinese cars . The European union are well aware of this and hope they get involved heavily to ensure the supply of Lithium internally . I also see that in the future that somewhere along the line EMH and Bacanora will eventually be merged / taken over , as I cannot see 2 X $500 million plants to produce Lithium on each side of the Czech/German border . Just no economic sense . Now if I was Rio Tinto , I would buy both companies , to create a monopoly on the Lithium supply in Europe . I am now even more bullish on EMH as ever having discovered there really is no alternative but to have these three mines up and running and the sooner the better .
