M &W...think this thread is pretty awesome. I'd love to contribute but way too nooby re shorting to be of assistance. Been looking for a resource for ASX CFD tradung and this is first decent thread I've found on the subject.
Keep it up guys and kudos to you! I've raised issue of shorting on STT a number of times to be met with a virtual wall of silence.
There is a very strong sentiment I think that shorting is a very high risk trade strategy due to leverage. But it is also a skillset I think all retail traders should learn even if they don't engage in it.
