@Froggy044 idea of reducing the thermostat has really paid off, with a 40% reduction in T31 (off peak) consumption to 5kWh per day. Also helped by the insulation. And best of all despite having three young lads atm, nobody’s noticed. It was 4kWh on Thursday, a 50% drop, before the third teenager arrived for a football tournament weekend, so lots of showers and washing.
Peak usage has dropped from c. 15/16 to 10/11. All I’ve done for that is the new kettle (thanks
@Trial99 ) and turned off the second fridge. Surely that can’t be worth 5kWh? Have to see how this week goes.
So total energy usage is 15/16kWh per day, for a household of four, temporarily five, no gas, no solar hot water. Adjusted for what the solar generates and sold, so true usage.
