When ANS was GPN they picked up the leases near Mt Padbury as gold prospects in 2004. They did very little drilling and found nothing of interest. Then about 4 years later turned their attention to the possibility of iron ore.

All these leases were part of the private company Desert Resources. GPN acquired Desert Resources for about 650m shares from memory. They later merged with AGU who also held leases in the same area.
