for a moment I was about to feel sorry for blueballs, until I read his other posts..............where are your parents blueballs ???.........you have so much information wrong......we paid much higher taxes that more than compensated for the infratructure.........the dole was not enuff for anyone to live on then........but it is now.........the list goes on and on about how wrong you are.........
so now I am beginning to wonder, how on earth can you afford to shell out almost 50% of your wage on rent......and why, we could not afford for the wife to stay home with the kids and pay the mortgage too, 40 years ago, so why do the younger ones today believe they can afford to ???
oh and back then they did not hand out $4000 or $5000 on the birth of a child, and then cough up about $200 per fortnight for each kid..................
If I were you I would be looking for cheaper rent to begin with, and 80pw is a lot of money on petrol, etc etc
as the other posters suggested, buy a unit, live in it and the rent money will not be wasted, then upgrade it after the market turns up again, 15000 is a lot of money for rent...btw brother wanted a newer car, always driven a big ford, told him he cannot afford the petrol to run it now,,,,,,,finally got him to look at a little hyundai getz, cost 10,000 but only costs 6.50 per 100 klms..........a huge saving in running costs.......with all the luxury
oh and another thing.......all those kids that went out and did the uni thing, a lot are still only working in ordinary trade or labour jobs...........and a huge shortage 20 years later.........so not going to uni is no big deal, when we cannot get anyone to do the trade jobs or whats needed.....to run the country.........
