You are complaining the thread has denigrated into personal abuse...you are of course correct...but surely you can see the root of the problem?

This sort of "off the rails" result repeats over and over from thread to thread...a generally amicable group, happy to discuss the nature of a stimulating post such as Trent26's are essentially set apon by all sorts of low-content posters, which then encourages replies of a similar nature.

All wrong to respond of course, but surely the instigator deserves greater scrutiny than the respondees?

It appears you are chastising the entire thread, when the majority of that thread is simply responding to one or two individuals who have essentially set things off...and added absolutely nothing.

Indeed one might argue they have purposely set out to upset the CVI threads.

I can't for the life of me understand why people cannot see what it is that sets off these threads...it is not colourful debate...it is not stimulating conversation...and it is not even controversial subject matter...no, it is a relatively little group of small minded, self indulgent individuals who it appears get their lollies off disrupting the genuine discussions of others.

Surely...SURELY...the mods can see this?

There is at least one poster on this thread that everyone knows is a trouble maker...yet he is apparently tolerated beyond the extreme on all the threads he visits?

I do not understand this?

I hope you do not read this post as yet another "problem post"...I feel someone has to come out and say what everyone else is thinking.
