It now makes sense why the signing of the MPA has been delayed until after the May budget. They were waiting for the May budget to see if the R&D funding would be slashed or severely impacting our portion of the project. If you recall they were expecting this to be finalised in last year's budget but was left alone by the Government.
Seems like there are no more drawbacks/barriers impacting our funding arrangements.
