With all due respect that’s not a good way to look at it. These are children. Yes they are poor as anyone on earth but the exploitation is immense. The cobalt mining will not trickle down to them. This is essentially asking ones position on trickle down economics. Will greater financial fortune for a corporation end up helping the workers. I would say no in this instance because there are no unions and these are illiterate and impoverished ppl. They can’t fight for themselves so I don’t see anything changing even with cobalt.
