    Okay, I did look. And let's accept crossings aren't good once they occur.

    But look at 8 January - the two shorter term moving averages 20 and 50 were coming together but did not actually cross. Just as the the 200MA hasn't actually been crossed yet. Rather around 8 Jan they separated again and there followed a period of considerable price rises.
