I'm assuming that the visits to Chinese refineries suggests QBL are looking to export raw bauxite. This should atleast limit the environmental impact on a domestic level, I know there is still the stripping of the land etc. Not sure about water sources in Sth Johnston vicinity but one would think the environmental impact would be heavily scrutinized these days before any licenses are granted.

Mining is not going to disappear anytime soon..unfortunately the minerals for aluminum, steel etc are still very much needed & until alternatives are sourced it's going to remain in strong demand.

In the mean time let's hope QBL can secure an offtake & get Sth Johnston up & firing for shareholders!
