And Buddy, hate to say this but your dad has no idea about construction - skyscapers are built on sand - see gold coast, on reclaimed sand - see dubai and hong kong. It is how you design the foundations that is important not the soil.

If you take time and read something about shale gas it is actually big in the USA. just because it aint big in australia doesnt mean it isnt important. While $3.2m is a lot, MPO did indicate that they could redirect funds is they an opportunity. And yes shale gas will be a long term thing.

As to the current share price, it has to do with the general market. Everything is down, the banks, the miners etc. Second teir companies do get hit harder when there are problems.

Qld flooding has proably caused delays to continued operation on wells there, but then most mining etc has been effected.

South Africa is having electricity problems causing mines to close. Again MPO is in a prime position to either develop electricity generation for for the mines or provide supply.

Glouscter, yes it has been delayed and this is a nuisiance. AJL has also been hit.

China, again no information and also a niuisance.

As indicated, It would be good if MPO did do some regular reporting.

As to the drop on price on the announcement - people still dont understand. They same was said about when they bought SA.

The share price is low and for those that understand they will understand the value for the long term.

And yes gas production is required to get the price really going. However, the have a stragetic plan and the cash to progress the respective projects. It is now a matter of time. For those who know the value they will wait. For those who only know the share price will post comments which are to the the least showing a level of immaturity.

Good luck to the holders and MPO is a keeper. It may not be sweet at the moment bet will blossom. And yes I am do in value as well
