Ah, aussiejoe, you've reading the AGE's "letters to the editor!" Good stuff but you must have spotted the fact that Ken, John and Alistair spoke with their tongue firmly pushed against their cheek! It's a slick, glib excuse to use the victims of other invasions, particularly those of centuries ago, as a cause for not repairing the damage done to the aborigines even so recently. The Oz govn't should have said "sorry" and implemented legislation to get rid of those horrendous missdeeds a long time ago. It's well beyond the right time to do so now.
