If the future of your livelihood and company thriving is depending on 100% securing funding or giving everyone a fair chance but possibly not getting the funding you need, what would you do? If they made it only fair every time, they’d be making a huge unnecessary risk. No share holder would be better off ever, if the capital wasn’t raised when needed and the company went insolvent.
