I have no connection to the franchise industry but I don’t think what you’ve said is fair.
Sure franchisers are out to make money and whilst their goals could be a bit different to the franchisee they should be close enough to work.
I think some franchisees think they are buying a ticket to making money and fail to do a thorough analysis.
At the same time if you have a very professional operator they would probably be better off operating as an independent.
