Hi Folks
Emmi
I might add a few points;
I wasnt impressed with the quarterly much either regarding our push towards real medium term production opportunities.
Its there but its a bit vague.....they are not serious about supporting the share price...and never have been 'serious' about it.
As for replacing Kate I dont think too many are here saying (seriously) replace her. After all it is just rhetoric as you say and more about disappointment than anything else.
Lets remember we already have had a number of replacements already at Uran. The Nickel boys left and Michael Kiernan vacated the Chair.
They have not helped.
In fact our new chairman Pat Ryan got in when things were pretty bad, yet he was still unable to stop the drop...by multiples.
I am open to new appointments if they can be demonstrated to be in the best interests of the company/shareholders.
Currently that isnt an option as far as I am aware.
The current crew are the way to go.
We might just see though some other staff freed up from other companies as the industry consolidates and the juniors with no production in sight for 5+ years lose people to companies like Uran who give staff the opportunity to work in a production capacity.
Uran may well attract some handy people once Ukraine projects are secured. I think we will see this this year.
Not sure where you are sitting there Emmi, but i'd suggest they are not "trying everything possible" as you say.
I give them 10/10 for efforts in sourcing new POTENTIAL opportunities in Czech with the new deposits, the appeals and their community meetings and renewed approach re PR.
For Rozna 0/10. No update there.
Pribram 3/10. Too much rhetoric no committment for me. Ive explained this already. Its imperative Uran is 'seen to be' 'working' from a market perspective re valuation AND just as importantly to demonstrate to the Czech community its serious about its committment to the region.
Bulgaria N/A However...their "Not before first quarter" comments deserve a negative rating based on 'another' timeframe being proven wrong....and it was a generous one remember.
Kazakhstan 1/10. After 5 months (MOU) we have "continuing discussions"
Put into historical context (important as Kaz was an area stated as a target 18 months ago) they are still 'talking'
Ordinary. Very ordinary.
Ukraine 5/10. 'Again' we see the goal posts moved (not Urans fault) and the company still confident the original agreement is intact and relevant with 'another' change in Govt structure.
Uran are in discussions re the planning and will be start work on both projects within 5 months.
Its tough work with the ukraine obviously. Uran must be frustrated, but that doesnt excuse minimal detail or half yearly forecasts in such a difficult climate and such a tragic shareprice.
Bit too easy for them to do that imo. I expect more from them.
Its tough work being a shareholder watching this unfold by the way.
There comes a time when support needs to be demonstrated. At no point in Urans last 12 months ahve any Directors 'seriously' supported this company by putting their own $$ on the line.
The milk money in June 2007 does not count by the way ;)
By the time we come around to mid year we will be needing cash. Uran have demonstrated they will raise cash at any cost (to shareholders)so we can expect a placement or SPP or both.
This may coincide with an acquisition or be dependent on one. Either way it will mean dilution.
Dilution wont be (that much of) an issue if the deals are substantial. That is yet to be demonstrated.
The ideal is to get the debt asap, get a valuation on the company, and secure these Ukraine projects and start work.
Uran need to bed down this Discovery deal. Cotik the MC might be low as you say, but that cash backing will go in the blink of an eye and then what do we pin our 'valuation' on eh?
The market has made it very clear only acquisitions count with Uran now.
Uran has a lot of work to do re shareholders/market confidence.
There are disclosure/transparency/conflict of interest issues that centre around one word: TRUST.
I want to trust this company further. I trust them enough to stay invested...just.
I want to see them step up and make some valuation building decisions and start putting the Uran shareholders first.
Currently it appears its the Discovery shareholders who are the ones being looked after.
