I like to think the moderation process is a two way effort.

(a) The mods. scan as many posts as possible to detect inappropriate posts and (more importantly),

(b) members themselves assist in the process by bringing to our attention (via the TOU function) posts you feel are out of line.

With an ever increasing membership and number of posts (now regualarly exceeding 4,500 a days) I would like to think that as the members "own" the boards and us mods are here to act in the best interests of all parties, then the moderation process is a collaborative exercise.
