Hey Cwliew, that guy was me and just watch this space and see it all unfold. The Market isn;t going up as all who knew somthing would have bought between $108 to $133 run up. Now they are all holding. Remember the smart money is already invested in Rio. The Day traders and speculators have no idea what is going on and don't know if BHP will make a bid or revise the bid.
If you want to analyse the daily movement of RIO in the past, it has been either $2 to $4 and even last few weeks $8. The last two closing prices have been inside the $1 mark, so this will tell you that the current traders do not know the answer, all the buying has been done by fund mangers in the past few weeks or months. Remember the SMART MONEY comes first, then the mugs like us follow.
