no, the directors can not take up any shortfall, they can only take up their entitlement in the initial issue. the shortfall was taken up by non directors. ie, shareholders , will have to see a top 20 holders ann to see changes, ie the whos' who.
the directors should be congratulated for allowing the opportunity for little shareholders to get an increased slice of the company.....many companies just issue placements which exclude shareholders who want to top up their holdings. Alternately, they raise funds through borrowings or other external financials...which also exludes shareholders from being IN on the future growth. That's another reason I love Gondwana, the capital reconstruction allows us to retain originnal percentage of holdings in the company and has the rare attractive benefit of the 1 for 9 bonus shares adn the very good 3 for 5 options......this will just never happen again.....I have been trawling through all the options on the market to find a company offerring better value in the spec category with very very very cheap options which are "in the money" and there is just not one company that is about to launch into a growth phase that is offering what GDA is.
There are a lot of day traders doing everything they can to get the price down so they can buy in cheaply before the next price re rating ........to where ? 5c, 8c 10c.....in the short, medium or long term ? The next month will be one of lots of news, lots of market activity and hopefully not too many day traders, just solid growth and shareholder value.
From what I am reading in the company releases , Gondwana is in for a big increase in activity and as sure as night follows day, with increased activity, follows more announcments and more knowledge.
Being a spec, it will go up and down, and be over bought and oversold.....be prepared, be patient and be cautious. The best investment is to read the last 3 years asx GDA announcements. Be prepared and ask the company questions about that which you would like to know more information about. It's the only way they will know what we as the part owners of the company think and want to see for the company as far as their decision making is concerned. It costs very little to ring or send an email and whilst it may take a week or two to get a reply, the fact that shareholders are interested and communicating will help the directors appreciate and respond to our concerns and hopes for Gondwana.
cheers Fatstocks.
