TM.... I am old enough to remember the 1987 crash and a few other major corrections since then.

In the past I have usually paniced and sold my holdings taking a big loss and then getting back on board later at higher prices than my firesale off loading. It is a normal human reaction although in retrospect a bit dumb.

After 20 years of either selling or holding and taking no action during violent corrections I finally think I l have learned something.

I am based in Frankfurt atm and have full level 2 depth in front of me during the day.

I therefore shorted the DAX and FTSE using CFDs at GBP100 per point - the profits made here more than compensated me for the paper loss in my speccy holdings and allowed me to buy more speccies at the lower prices we have today - in particular in CVI and EXM.

So no I did not sell and I do not want to sell - while the paper value of my holding in EXM and EXMO has gone down substantially - the value of my overall portfolio has gone up thanks to the CFD trades.

When we start to see EXM moving upwards again (as I believe it should) then perhaps EXMO will start to offer some more useful leverage.

Until such time I happy to hold what I have got.

Or perhaps I am in too deep and am just deluding myself ... lol ... but I don't think so.
