Interesting to think about the Historic parallel really

If you were in the early 1920's and personal car ownership had just skyrocketed as was the demand for Oil and just there were a few oil producers around a dozen or more small to mid size and a few large ones. Now just imagine you stumble across the motherlode oilfield in the relatively but not completely undeveloped middle east early... discovered by the British from memory .... what to do ?
