    The SQM/Corfo deal arose in Jan this year. The Mt Holland deal was announced in July. I don't think SQM does need Mt H as much now that they have that deal.

    Producing from brine produces quite variable results from season to season (esp quarterly), and based on the timing of adding reagents to the ponds, and pumping from one pond to another for the next step. There are also obviously issues if there are weather events.
