from what I hear the southbound-option is considered rather for some pull- than push-factors. Has something to do with the cheaper supply of some important raw materials (chemicals) utilized in the separation process and as far as phosacid is concerned the markets are rather located in South- and South-East Australia than in the Northern part. I don't think that ARU management is not aware of the transport cost implications.
