hi ... don't think of the term knockers as a harshly derogatory term for the opinions of yourself or others ... more a generic way of referring to the queries being raised and the fact that there's a body of negative opinion that appears whenever there's a positive outlooked expressed on a stock.

Bears have their place ... I guess Im more a glass half full kind of guy .... I see small IO explorer companies like MDX as the one area of the market that will recover quicker than most. And this one has some compelling value equations.

A few days ago there was a very real school of thought that felt this management were not doing much and that the oppies had no chance of being in the money come late june .... yesterday's announcement showed that just perhaps its otherwise. Still yet to be proven, but at least we now know management do have a plan ... will it work, will the numbers stack up. who knows, but im certainly happy that the research conducted by some has paid off. I think some of the posts unfairly dismiss the potential upside.

A few days ago there was also a very real school of thought that felt the RRR buying meant nothing in the wider scheme of things. I think there's now evidence that this buying is part of a wider play by several entities to develop a new IO region ....

I get the 'both sides of the argument' equation ... but i do find that quite often there's negative sentiment expressed for no other reason than people have missed the boat. Ive no problem with raining on the parade, i just sometimes find it tiresome when there's actually a lot of positives to be viewed as well.

You of course dear meerkat are a different beast. I always enjoy you joining a thread because you actually back up what you are saying with a wider perspective ... i often see your cautionary posts as the yin to my yang (natural enthusiasm for finding a caching moment!) and you are performing a vital community service (to this blokes at least) in helping to keep the world in perfect harmony and balance.

as for mdx .... i think its going up in the near future .... might not happen on monday, and the next six months might be all fluff, but im hoping to make a few bucks before the music stops. and that's what we are here for is it not. ???
