APPOINTMENT OF NEW PHILIPPINES COUNTRY HEAD

Nido Petroleum Limited (Nido) is pleased to announce the appointment of Jocot Emmanuel de Dios to the position of Country Head of Nido Petroleum Philippines Pty Ltd.

Mr de Dios is a lawyer and former company director who brings with him exemplary qualifications and a wealth of experience in the energy sector. Mr de Dios has been brought in to oversee Nido�s Philippine subsidiary.

Mr de Dios has been Chairman of the Board at the Philippine National Oil Company-Exploration Corporation (PNOC-EC) and also held the distinguished position of Undersecretary of the Philippine Department of Energy for three years. Mr de Dios is the Managing Director at Merritt Advisory Partners Inc., an energy advisory company.

An accomplished public speaker, he has held the floor at the World Renewable Energy Summit and the Asia Pacific Natural Gas Vehicle Association Conference in Kuala Lumpur and was a delegate and panellist at the World Gas Conference in Tokyo, 2003. In 2005, Mr de Dios received the prestigious Secretary�s Award of Recognition for Distinguished Government Service.

He has attained a Master of Laws from Harvard Law School and a Bachelor of Laws from the Ateneo De Manila University School of Law. A summary of Mr de Dios� career highlights are attached.
