Thanks for a very informative Posting! I think the U.S.A. may be leaning on the I.M.F.in this situation because the U.S.A. may see this a some way out of their present Sub Prime mess. Presently the U.S.A. needs Funds to cover their Stimulus Package, and selling Some of their Gold Holdings may be 'on the cards'. Perhaps presently both sides of U.S.A. Politics may agree about Selling some Gold Holdings because after all the Democrats presently have control of Congress and would like some Funding for improved spending on Health and Education etc..
