I’m starting to feel optimistic. If there's no skeletons in the closet and AFG on track EPS forecast ($0.6-$0.8), management can lob a bid at say $5(although potentially much more), take it private and achieve a 14% earnings yield. Re-float in a few years after credit markets stabilise at 15 times earnings and make an absolute killing. Somehow I feel we won’t be seeing AFG trading between $2-$5 post this announcement.
