I am in Shanghai now, seeing quite a lot of EV's from the cheap micro cars through to plenty of Tesla's What is driving the crossover is apparently EV's get free licence plates. There are charging stations pretty much everywhere. I am getting driven around to see my wife's family and I am asking her cousin who happens to be a car dealer what car is that an awful lot. Although he doesn't sell any EV's (yet) he is very aware of the change that is coming.
Still the EV's would be way less than 1% of vehicles on the road. Still seeing tons of diesel buses and ancient trucks on the road.
I think KB is right about people not understanding the pace of change or the enormity of the demand that is just coming around the corner. It is great to see many EV's, but the demand coming will be massive
