    "Just a year ago who among us could have imagined that almost every car manufacturer would enter the EV space, or the battery peaker grid expansion and household battery expansion."

    Actually, many of us could see that this was the likely future not just a year ago, but going back a couple of years. It seems all the analysts for the big investment banks, funds etc were the ones that could not see this type of future and were treating a 'battery driven electric future' as just a novelty.

    There are still some reports (especially by oil interests) that have EV uptake only at 15-20% by 2040, when the world is clearly, to most of us heading to nearly total EVs by then. The part of the equation most analysts have missed is future oil depletion of large known oil fields, that guarantees higher oil prices into the future, pushing consumers into EV preferences quicker.

    It is the money spent on battery development for EVs that are rapidly allowing a host of other uses for the technology to develop, as energy per kg of battery weight keep increasing.
