    mate your analogy would work IF the customers had actually agreed to pay for anything.

    Turns out they hadn't.

    so as some others have pointed out - its more like you've gone into a dealer, done a test drive, walked away to think about it and the dealer has just logged you as a sale when in actual fact you're merely a prospect.
